Warrenton, Oregon
Quaint Restaurants, Brewpubs, and Rich Fishing History.
Population: 4,989 – Clatsop County
You can’t get any closer to the ocean without being on a boat. Located 8 miles West of Astoria with its quaint restaurants, brewpubs and rich fishing history, Warrenton is close enough to all the action while still providing some peace and quiet. The town of Warrenton sits at the mouth of the Columbia River near the Pacific Ocean and coastal forests. Tourism, fishing, forest products, and maritime shipping and transportation are important sectors of the local economy.
The Warrenton mill, purchased in 2010, is located on the Skipanon River, where fishing vessels from the Warrenton marina sail by on their way out to the Columbia River and the open ocean.
