Nestled at the southern end of Tillamook Bay on Oregon’s beautiful north coast, Tillamook is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Tillamook offers numerous hiking trails and opportunities for kayaking, fishing, and hunting as well as crabbing and clamming in Tillamook Bay and Netarts Bay.
Located roughly 70 miles west of Portland, Oregon, Tillamook has a rich history in agriculture, fishing, and wood products. Tillamook is home to the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory and a number of other businesses specializing in dairy and seafood products. Visitors also flock to Tillamook County throughout the year to explore coastal beaches and the Tillamook State Forest.
Tillamook is the largest city in Tillamook county and home to Tillamook Bay Community College. Hampton has operated the sawmill in downtown Tillamook since 1986.

- Tillamook is an Indian word meaning “the many peoples of the Nehalem.”
